Samantha Hunt is an artist and educator based in New York. She attended SUNY Brockport, obtaining an undergraduate degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Museum Studies. After College, Samantha began working in Art Galleries and Museums all over New York State including Dia:Beacon and the Museum of Modern Art. The conceptual aspects of the modern art movement began to influence Samantha’s approach to her own artwork. Motivated by this and the exploration of the intrinsic relationship between self and art, Samantha completed a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. These concepts continue to guide her work. After almost a decade in mental health, Samantha moved onto teaching art in early childhood enrichment programs, creating and designing art curriculum to empower and encourage personal growth and cognitive development. Her aims is to making every art making experience joyful and meaningful.

Currently Samantha is working as a lead teacher in a reggio inspired preschool in Brooklyn, NY.
